Image Manager

The Image Manager dialog allows you to freely browse folders on the web-server just like in a regular Windows Explorer. The folders to which you have access are pre-set by the site administrator. The Image Manager allows you to perform the following tasks:

  • browse folders and files
  • sort files by name and type
  • preview images, zoom in and out
  • upload new images to the chosen folder
  • generate thumbnails of the uploaded image
  • create new sub-folders and delete files and folders

Follow these steps to insert and edit an image on the page:

  1. With your selected page in edit mode click or move your cursor to the place where you want to insert your image.
  2. Click on the Image Manager Link in the menu to load the Image Manager. You can use the image browser window to navigate folders and select images to insert into your page.

  3. To upload your own image, navigate to the folder you would like to send the image to and click the Upload Image tab to go to the upload page. Browse for your image file and click upload to send it to the server. You can then use the image browser to select your uploaded image and insert it into your page.

  4. Once the image has been inserted into your page it will appear where your cursor was positioned. Click on the image to select it, then right click again and select Set Image Properties from the menu.

  5. Using the options available you can set a range of image properties, click ok to apply.

Special Note:

Please follow these guidelines when using your own images:

  • Keep image file sizes as small as possible, this makes the image faster to download and easier to view. Make sure the image is at 72dpi and an RGB or Indexed colour mode.
  • Use only browser compatible file formats such as Jpeg, Gif or PNG other file formats are not widely supported by browsers and may not load.
  • Make sure you have copyright for the images you are using.
